Dance attempt part one.

As I'm in SF I try to find some fun LH dancing. Now so far that haven't really gone well - tonight I ended up dancing yes, but it was a beginners class. Though I learned that tuesday and thursday evenings are great, and wednesday is also a possibility. I guess tomorrow is the best day, as thursday is busy for the Java Posse BOF. Tuesday there is a live band playing that probably will be great Happy

Breaking into the toilet - thank god for smokers.

After a long day drinking wine I was so ready for bed, but after trying to sleep some I figure that I need to go to the bathroom. I try to open the door - it's locked. Locked?!? How is that even possible?

I try turning the knob of the door to no avail, feeling the pressure building... I consider calling the reception, but I see this big thin plastic no smoking sign.

I slide it into the side of the lock using it as a credit card in the movies; what do you know, I open the door. When inside I found that the American door lock system with "lock it with a button" is kinda dangerous. It appears that the button locking the door has been pushed in as the door was opened fully - so by opening the door I locked it.

Now that is really what a toilet need.

Power adapter required!

Got to love the opening hours in the US. Here on a regular sunday I find a store with about everything and they sold me the adapter piece that I lacked. The computer is charging and everything is good and swell.

Todays activity has been wine tasting, and it has resulted in the purchase of a T-shirt, a caps, some honey, 3 bags of spicy microwave popcorn and of course 4 bottles of wine. We have of course drunk too much wine in the process, but hopefully I managed to select some wines of good quality Happy They even got containers that given I get a sturdy suitcase the wine should survive the trip back home.

Tomorrow the "serious" program starts with Sun Community days, though I do not dispare as I probably will try and find a place to dance Lindy Hop in the evening. More on that on my technical blog as it happens.

"Suitablde for apparatuss with non-earthings only"

It appears that my power adapter for converting between Norwegian and USA power connectors only works for non-earthed cables. That's a bummer as my mac has an earthed power cable... That's what you get for purchasing the cool Swiss device and not the lumpy thing that probably worked for all cable types...

So now I am here in San Fransisco, Sunday morning, with 45 minutes left on the battery. That stopps my blogging until monday as running on battery power isn't going to work for long Happy Hopefully I'll find a shop selling these early monday morning so I don't miss out too much on Sun Community days. Today is going to be busy busy as a lot of Norwegians are going on a hole day trip to visit a couple of wine farms - that will be interesting.
