I'm a Viking mud nerd. I've played the game a lot, and still programs for it occasionally.

Now what is Viking Mud? Viking mud is a text based multiplayer adventure game that has been around for quite a while. I have several stuff out on the mud and some in the pipeline if I ever get around to completing it

My most resent addition for the game is a Java mud client for playing the game from your web-browser. It was fairly quick to write and it turned out to be a quite better than regular telnet - hopefully it will bring new players to the game.

The code for the applet is released under GPL v2 and I've hosted the source on Google Code. And for those that haven't used Google Code, it's pleasingly easy to set up and integrates wonderfully with Eclipse as it offers a subversion repository.

Now if you want to play the game, choose "Just log in" from the game menu and enter a name for your character. When you find an unused one, enter your password and enjoy the ride. You'll most likely find me on as "knubo" and you can send me a hello through a tell if you want to - just send the command: tell knubo hello from me!
